Born in Ireland in 1963 I came to London in 1982 working in the construction industry and as a relief
manager for Charingtons Brewery.
I moved to Gravesend in 1995 as Manager of The Borough Shades Public house in Windmill Street from there, 2 years later, moving across to road to manage the Trocadero.
In 2005, together with my partner Iris, we purchased TJ’s , then called the British Tar, joining the previous 23 landlords as custodians of an establishment which has now been serving the public of Gravesend for 200 years (1823 – 2023).
My interests include walking our 3 dogs, golf, DIY, gardening, local history and rugby
