Cllr. Les Hoskins

Cllr. Les Hoskins is a member for the Whitehill Ward at Gravesham Borough Council.                                                                                                                                

He wishes to ensure that Gravesend becomes the choice to live in Town ensuring residents and businesses are put first.

Les Hoskins is a semi-retired Financial Adviser with a lifelong connection to Conservatism. He is passionate about the condition of Gravesend to give everyone a good quality of life.

Whilst only residing in Gravesend for eighteen months, Les has always taken an interest in the Town and its surrounding area.

Les was born and brought up in Erith, however spent many a summer holiday in and around Fort Gardens and the Riverside and is enthusiastic about seeing the diverse and cohesive community within Gravesham flourish.

Les started in business as a family newsagent, however moved into Financial Services some thirty-years ago, so understands the needs of both local residents and small businesses.

Les is passionate about trees and the need to preserve woodland and forests not only in the UK but worldwide. He campaigns to stop the burning of Wood Pellets in the U.K. and Europe to produce energy.

Leslie has lived in Chalk since 1982 and has been privileged to serve on GBC as Councillor since 2007 and as leader of the Conservative Group since August 2018.
