Cllr. Ejaz Aslam is a member for Meopham South and Vigo ward at Gravesham Borough Council.
Ejaz was born  in 1969 and has since lived and been educated in Gravesend.

At the age of 13 , Ejaz was selected to go to Gravesend Grammar School for Boys where he attained 9 O levels and 4 A levels. Set to to go University to study Law, Ejaz’s family business suffered a set back which caused Ejaz to help his father develop and grow the business which was established in Gravesend in 1970.

From a young age Ejaz was inspired by his father who was involved in community and welfare work. He was the youngest Trustee of the Gravesend & Dartford Muslim Association at the age of 19, and is currently the Chairperson having been elected on three consecutive terms.

When asked why Ejaz wanted to stand as a Councillor he said “I am very passionate and loyal to the Town where I have spent all my life. I care about the residents in Gravesham and would like to make a positive difference. I believe Gravesham has a lot to offer and a great place to live".

Ejaz continues to run his family business with his sons. It is a global and UK based online retail business selling luggage and travel goods.

Ejaz seeks your support and endeavours to enhancing better community cohesion, looking after the welfare of the Town centre, including reduction in crime and supporting excellent education in our schools.

In his spare time Ejaz enjoys spending time with his family, community work and helping others.
