Samir Jassal

Samir Jassal was standing for election in the Woodlands ward in the Gravesham Borough Council elections on 2nd May 2019. He is a former Gravesham Borough Councillor for the Shorne, Cobham and Luddesdown ward.

I have lived in Gravesham all my life and live with my wife, 2 children and parents. I served as a Councillor from 2007-2011 and was re-elected in 2015. I was privileged to serve as Cabinet Member for Business Development, and during this time I have worked hard to support Gravesham’s businesses. Gravesham is a town rich in heritage and culture and we need to do more to keep the energy flowing. I have worked hard to increase the number of apprentices, which is vital to help the youth of Gravesham. If elected in May, I will make sure the concerns of Woodlands residents are represented and looked after.
