About Jordan
Jordan is a passionate and experienced local councillor who has served the borough since 2015. He was born in Gravesend and is passionate about the town’s river heritage, protecting our marshlands, open spaces and parks, and in creating opportunities for young people.
Throughout his time as a local Councillor Jordan has worked hard to be a voice for local residents. He has fought the Council successfully in stopping overdevelopment and constantly challenges the Labour Council’s wasteful spending on vanity projects over the delivery of quality services.
He currently serves as the Leader of the Conservative Group on Gravesham Borough Council.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Jordan has been actively engaged in supporting both displaced Ukrainians in the UK, and communities on the ground in Ukraine through the delivery of humanitarian aid and through the provision of political support. He is currently leading on a number of initiatives to further interregional and civic corporation between the United Kingdom and Ukraine.
Jordan has an extensive background in parliamentary research, policy development, event management, technology trends and community engagement. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), where he was recently appointed to the Fellowship Council (representing the South East) and he is a Freeman of the City of London. He is a Fellow of the British-American Project and a Member of the Gravesend and Meopham Rotary Club.
Jordan is currently a self-employed advisor engaged with supporting the Offices of several Members of the House of Lords and other national political/public policy and events interests. He is proud to serve as National Vice Chairman (Trustee) of the Maritime Volunteer Service (MVS).
In 2024 and in recognition of Jordan’s charitable, political and humanitarian work, The Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Andy Beshear, commissioned Jordan a Kentucky Colonel. This is the highest honour awarded by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and warranted through letters patent, Jordan is now recognised as an Ambassador of good-will.
In his spare time, Jordan enjoys taking long walks with his Labrador, mostly along the marshlands of Higham and Shorne on the Saxon Shore Way.
