In thinking about the past year one of the best parts of the job has been visiting schools and meeting teachers, parents and children, most of whom are brilliant. (And those who are not - well, we should remember that a 13 year old yob is still a child).I have been giving presentations to 6th formers on journalism and my time as an ITN reporter. I aim to visit more schools during the next 2 years with the children visiting Parliament too.

Kings Farm Primary School Breakfast Club is held every week day morning for the children to enjoy breakfast cooked by volunteers and teachers. Before an official visit we helped cook, serve and wash-up.
